Question:

Does a Delaware criminal check report cover all of Delaware's Courts?

Answer:

No. Different Delaware courts meet the public access requirement in different ways. Lists of all criminal defendants are listed in indices which are available in each county for Superior, Court of Common Pleas, Municipal Court, and Family Courts.

In addition to the listed courts, there are also Justice of the Peace (JP) and Alderman's court systems in Delaware. These court systems meet the public access requirement by providing information on a specific case only. Requester must provide information identifying both the defendant and a specific case requested. Alderman or JP clerks will then provide information on that case only.

A county criminal search covers Superior Court, Court of Common Pleas, Municipal Court, and Family Court. If your subject reports a record that is not found in a standard search, a search of Alderman and JP Courts will be conducted to find reported case.
